Flower Mound High School has received the "2009 College Readiness Award" from the TExas ACT Council for maintaining or increasing the number of students taking the ACT Assessment over the past five years and significantly increasing their level of achievement and college readiness.

This can only happen as a result of the high school's faculty and staff efforts and the dedicatiuon of Flower Mound High School students and parents to focus on college readiness and raise the level of college readiness for all students. Less than 5 percent of all high schools in Texas were honored for this superior level of accomplishment.

The Cross Country teams finished their season with a trip to the state meet. The Boys team finished in 5th place at state and the Girls team took 8th place. Congratulations to the teams on a great season!

The Lady Jags will host their 6th Annual Lady Jaguars Basketball tournament November 19-21. The Lady Jags will open up play on Thursday, November 19 at 7:30 pm taking on Midlothian in Gym 1.

FMHS Dramatic Paw 'Prents proudly present "Alice in Wonderland" on December 3 & 4 at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium. Cost is $5. Tickets can be bought at the door or at all lunches on December 2. 3, or 4.

Showtime with Santa -- If you want to watch "Alice in Wonderland" with Santa, this presentation will be held on Saturday, December 5 at 8:30 am. Anyone attending this presentation MUST have a reservation. Forms and more information are available at the Theatre Web Site.
